This group was created out of a need for entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts in Lexington to have a space for working and collaborating on projects.

What is coworking?

Co-working is a shared workspace where multiple businesses can work alongside each other. The “shared” environment is especially conducive to entrepreneurs who don’t have enough capital to afford their own office. It also allows home-based or telecommuting workers to experience human interaction instead of being isolated. What is a hacking workspace (“hackerspace”)?

In this sense, hackers are not devious criminals, but clever tinkerers. A collective group of hackers means more shared knowledge/resources/skills to assist each other with projects as well as create a collaborative environment to work on larger projects that would otherwise not be as successful with a single person working on it.
