Where

Twin Knobs Campground at Cave Run Lake; a large, mostly shaded campground on 8,300 acre mountain lake. (Click here for more info.)

The exact tentsite will be known Friday morning (pdf with site numbering).

Coming from Lexington, Kentucky on I-64, take Exit 133. Turn right at the top of the exit ramp to proceed south on KY HWY 801. Proceed 8.4 miles on HWY 801. The campground entrance is on the right.

• Hiking (Trails and Tater Knob Fire Tower)
• Fishing (you'll need a KY fishing license)
• Mushroom hunting
• Swimming (sandy beach on the lake!)
• Pancake breakfast Saturday morning by your little Granny Ashley
• Fire pit fun

Amenities

• Hot showers
• Toilets
• Water
• Boat ramp

What you need to bring

• $10 to contribute to campsite fees
• Tent (if you don't have one, check with ol' Granny Ashley
• Sleeping bag or blanket
• Pillow
• Food (except breakfast Saturday morning)
• A cup or coozie for your beer (public consumption prohibited, other rules here)
• Personal items: clothing, toothbrush, rubber ducky
• Your pet (Yes! Sociable and leashed pets are allowed.)
• $$ for kayak or canoe rental
• $$ or an ax for firewood (Protect our forests! Don't move firewood!)
